$289 MILLION DOLLAR JUDGEMENT AGAINST MONSANTO

On Friday, San Francisco jurors ruled that that Bayer/Monsanto’s “Roundup” (the most popular weedkiller in the world) was responsible for causing a former school groundskeeper to develop terminal cancer.  So they awarded him $289 million in damages — mostly to punish the agricultural company Monsanto.
Dewayne Johnson’s victory Friday could set a massive precedent for thousands of other cases claiming Roundup causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Under California law, patients who are deemed to be dying can be granted expedited trials… thus Johnson’s case was the first to go to trial.

This weekend, the Dougherty Report and Food Nation Radio highlight just a few of the many interviews we’re conducted over the years about Roundup’s effect on the environment and the human body.
